There are Witches, Devils, Bats, Spiders and costumes with Halloween colours, so plenty of inspiration.
Some of these would have been made with crepe paper which can be sewn.

We tend to think fancy dress is fairly new yet people have been disguising themselves for hundreds if not thousands of years for various reasons, including just to have fun.
The Victorians and Edwardians were no exception.
Some I’ve come across would make interesting Halloween costumes.
I only wish I had the dressmaking skills to try and make some of these.
